Petrification of a living
A raw substance, still framed.
Set to be set in stone.
Stills is a site-specific solo piece created for a second year project in the Bachelor of Dance at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp. Stills was created as a long-duration performance with the concept of coexisting and collaborating with the site. The work focuses on visuals, utilizing scenography, cinematography and imagery.

I collaborate with my space
I am a part of it.
I am a habitant of the space.
I collaborate with existing material, materials existing long before my presence.
I collaborate with the material´s ability to produce sound.
I interact with the site´s perception of time.
I allow the site´s energy to guide me and my intuition to lead the way.
